About The Author  When Dale Bartlett wrote Have Kids - Will Travel, he never intended on becoming a nationally known author. His book however is now in its third printing and has been sold throughout the US and even Australia and Canada and Europe.
Officially, he has been working in the traffic industry and a husband and father of four. "Have Kids – Will Travel" was written using over 6 years of research and experience traveling the world with his family and coming up with new and unique ways to do it both inexpensively and free.
The Bartletts have travelled extensively throughout the United States spending as little as $700.00 for the entire family to visit destinations like New England and New York for two and a half weeks. That included airfare, hotels, car, food and more! International trips included England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy, with FREE airfare and FREE places to stay! literally paying for just food and fun!
Realizing this will change family travel, Bartlett says: "I believe that with the proper planning and knowing the right travel secrets, any family could travel anywhere in the world for less than it cost to go camping, definitely much less than going to Disneyland!"

Around the time I learned of Have Kids - Will Travel I had been wracking my brain wondering how my son and I could travel and explore the world. We are homeschoolers and like the author I am a big believer that there’s no better way to learn than to travel the world. One of the main things stopping us was money – or so I thought until I read this book.
I am so excited to have found it. For us it is an answered prayer and a dream come true. I just can’t recommend this book highly enough. A million thanks to Dale and his family for sharing these fabulous and insightful travel secrets with the rest of us. I believe even seasoned and savvy travelers may pick up a tip or two.
The only downside I found was I really would have appreciated tips on keeping kids busy on long flights and a section touching on inexpensive travel via boats and ocean freighters with contact information on this. But "Have Kids - Will Travel" more than makes up for that by offering extensive ideas for family trips; everything from how to fly for free to tips for dealing with jetlag. I recommend buying this book if you’ve ever even dreamed of a family vacation either in your own country or abroad.
I found it to be a fascinating read, chock-full of little known travel secrets and tips and well worth the cover price. You will make more than your money back on your first trip.

THANK YOU so much for writing your book! I ordered it and received it yesterday in the mail. My husband and I are planning a trip to Scotland next year to visit his family and celebrate his parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We are taking our four kids with us and were in despair over the ticket prices. My husband had planned to order the tickets online last night after work. I got "Have Kids Will Travel" in the mail yesterday afternoon, read it, and then asked my husband to wait until after midnight to check the prices of the flights again. Thank you! I just booked our first family trip to Washington, D.C. using our free ticket through the airline miles and points program and the cheaper than-half-price-companion tickets that came when we enrolled. I had the reservations assistant check 3 times for cheaper fares and our whole family is now going for less than half the cost of ONE regular fare.
